About us

San Francisco Stars Netball Club was formed in August 2000 by a group of expats with a shared love of netball, and was the first netball club in Northern California, and has grown into one of the most welcoming and competitive netball communities in the US. Netball is a semi-contact team sport of 7 players per side with the ultimate goal of scoring but shooting the ball through the basket. Netball is a fast paced and skilful game, but fun and collaborative. Check out this video to see top Netball teams in action!

Today, our club is made up of members who hail from all around the world, such as England, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Singapore, South Africa and beyond. We are also proud to have a growing number of US nationals in our club as well! Everyone is welcome, regardless of your gender, nationality and experience playing Netball.

We currently train at weekly on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm, as well as the occasional club tournaments throughout the year on Saturdays.
